Striking Yosa Players End Action

Peace was brokered by the Governor of the North West Region, Lele Lafrique, in a meeting at his office in Bamenda on Tuesday December 24, 2013.The players had been clamouring for the payment of their dues for the finals worth some FCFA 5 million. To make their voices heard, the players refused to board the club bus back to Bamenda.

The negotiations ended in the payment of the said dues by the administration of the club to the players after their victory at the finals of the 54th edition of the football Cup of Cameroon. In a telephone conversation with the team captain, Nkese Hosea Abongu, he said "Everything is now okay. We have been given what we wanted and the players have now returned to their respective homes."

He refuted earlier media reports that the players of the club had been promised a million francs each in case of victory at the cup final. Before dispersing, the players made a tour of the city of Bamenda to show their hard earned trophy to the public.
