Striking Statements at News Conference

The one-day Summit that held at the French, capital Paris on Saturday 17 May 2014 ended with a press conference where all six Heads of State present expressed how resolved they were to tackle general insecurity and specifically the thorny question of the Boko Haram sect in Nigeria. The sect has increasingly become a threat to peace and stability in neighbouring countries to the Federal republic of Nigeria. Below are some of the catchy statements made by the Heads of State in Paris.

- Paul Biya of Cameroon

« We are here to seek ways of stalling the activities of a dangerous group »

« We are grateful to the United States of America, the United Kingdom and the European Union for demonstrating their concern to end the atrocities being perpetrated by Boko Haram."
