South West: Camrail donates stationery to Kumba School

The National Railway Company, Camrail, recently made a donation to Government Bilingual Primary School Ntam, Fiango-Kumba, in Meme Division of the South West Region. Camrail is a subsidiary of the Bollari Group in Cameroon. Kumba hosts the rail line from Kumba to Mbanga. According to the General Manager of Camrail, Didier Vandenbon, the donation shows the interest the Bollari Group in general and Camrail in particular, have for Kumba.

He said his organisation is out to ensure that the education of children is built on solid foundation. The gifts included 1,000 notebooks, 400 pens, 400 pencils, 400 colour pencils, 120 bottles of gum, 200 textbooks, 210 boxes of chalk, 320 slates and three computers. "Dear children, I want you to know that there is much hope in you. It is up to you to use all the opportunities to build a better Cameroon as President Paul Biya expects. We commit to continue to help improve the living conditions of the population and the socio-economic development of Cameroon,” the General Manager noted.

Receiving the donation, the Head Teacher of Government Bilingual Primary School Ntam, Fiango-Kumba, Suebeng Constant, congratulated Didier Vandenbon for the wonderful gesture and assured him that all the gifts will go a long way to improve the education of the children. He added that they will only be used for the purpose for the purpose intended. As part of its sustainable development policy, the Bollari Group in Cameroon has undertaken to participate in the improvement of education in the 2015/2016 academic year through the donation of stationery to some schools in Cameroon.

The programme was launched in October 2015 with the offer of gifts to Ecole Publique de Grand Batanga in Kribi in the South Region. It continued in Yaounde with gifts to the children of some former athletes and Belabo with prizes to 100 students. This time around, it was the turn of Government Bilingual Primary School Ntam, Fiango-Kumba, in Meme Division of the South West Region.
