The Song Loulou hydro-electric dam threatens a breakdown in operations as it has developed cracks in facilities due to years of non-maintenance.

The National Union of workers of the sector for development of structures of Production, Transport and Regulation of electricity (Syntdoptre), recently made a tour of the area. After finding out the facts, the Union sent a petition to President Biya on the state of the dam.

Five essential points surface in the discussions at the conference. Among others things discussed were; the global state of the overview of the sector of electricity in Cameroon; the Aes - Eneo concession contract; the State of Song Loulou dam security; the State of the network transport and distribution of electricity and finally the transfer dealer Eneo emergency technical programme.
