Soldiers determined in the fight against Boko Haram

In the centre of operations, the Cameroonian defense forces demonstrated determination and exemplary discipline.

Leaving the "front line" last week at Amchide, journalists, in unison, christened the military 'indomitable Lions' for reflecting their "fighting spirit" against an enemy without faith nor law.

Despite the dangers that faced them, the elements of the Cameroonian army deployed at the frontline firmly defended the integrity of the territory.

"We perceive at the moment that there is a tick of threat and we bring appropriate responses", launched lt. colonel Didier Badjeck, Chief of the division of Communication in the Ministry of defence.

Invited to say what looks like the daily lives of soldiers deployed in the front line at the border, the officer is careful not to reveal their modus operandi. "We have no offensive attempts. We are defending our territory. Whenever there is an incursion, we treat the objective" he said.

Indeed, for more than six months, when the response began following incursions into our borders, the Cameroonian army suffered 18 attacks that resulted in the death of 32 soldiers against more than a thousand members of the Islamist sect Boko Haram slaughtered. In addition to this human toll, important military equipments were destroyed.
