Shortage of medical certificate in the Far North

Health facilities in the Far North are experiencing a shortage in medical certificates.

The many young candidates, in recent competition launched by the Ministry of Public Service and Administrative Reform, will have difficulties in preparing their applications.

According to CRTV Radio in its 8pm news on August 25, some candidates are forced to travel to Garoua, capital of the Northern Region, to get that important document.

One candidate told our radio correspondent in Maroua that "I have traveled to all hospitals in Maroua. I am told that there is no medical certificate." Another admitted that "it was necessary that I called from a few kilometers before I get there and sign."

The shortage of printed medical records in the Far North appears to embarrass local authorities. Alfred Deiro, Head of General Affairs in the regional delegation of the Ministry of Health, admits the shortage but accepts his responsibility: "In all health facilities in the region, there is this shortage which is due to damage than Finance (Ministry of Finance) have at their level.”

At the general treasury, officials believe that the supply was not sufficient. According to Suleiman, Head of the governance guidelines, "We have not had an adequate supply to supply the Far North region. I had 70 books. These 70 books do not allow me to restock throughout the Far North, but only the Maroua regional hospital. "

The situation would soon be rectified: "We are waiting for about 300 900 medical certificate books. And the people will be satisfied," he said.
