Senate: Two diplomats bid farewell

The Senegal and Germany ambassadors to Cameroon bid farewell to the President of the Senate after their two-year term in Cameroon at the Palais des Congrès on Thursday.

Marcel Niat Njifenji first received the Ambassador of Senegal, Aliou Ndao few minutes before 11 am in Yaoundé.

The two had a conversation for more than half an hour. On leaving, the Senegalese diplomat said he was "satisfied with the past two years in Cameroon," he addressed the press.

"Before coming to your country, I was on duty for the President of Senegal. I am now returning to my country", Said Aliou Ndao Fall.

Two hours later the German Ambassador, Dr. Klaus-Ludwig Keferstein met with the Senate. He came "to thank the President of the Senate for all the support received during the past three years in "this beautiful country which I had the opportunity to visit the ten regions," said the German diplomat.

He keeps as a souvenir "the consolidation of democracy in Cameroon with the birth and functioning of the Senate for two years and the strengthening of diplomatic ties between Cameroon and Germany. The last official visit of Foreign Minister in Berlin is a perfect example", said Klaus-Ludwig Keferstein.
