Senate: Niat Njifenji to resign?

The President of the Upper House is in Geneva, Switzerland from October 15, as part of an interparliamentary tour. Only when he led a delegation of senators to the 133rd Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union (Uip), a rumor hasn't stopped spreading in the quiet lounges of the Republic.

The boss of the Senate has, we learn, expressed through a letter nearly a month ago to the President of the Republic, his intentions to shorten his position.

According to indiscretions drawn from good sources, the man is exposed to an increasingly declining health which does not allow him to fully assume his demanding missions. Indiscretions say at 81 years he is more at the permanent disposal of physicians, both in Cameroon and abroad, than focusing on his task.
