SONARA’s top officials narrowly escaped dead

The General Manager Talba Malla and the Chairman of the Board of Directors John Ebong Ngolle of National Refining Company of Cameroon (SONARA) alongside some of their colleagues narrowly escaped fire incident in the home of John Ebong Ngolle.

The incident that took place on Monday, June 2, 2014 left the people of Limbe in deep shocked as to what must have triggered John Ebong Ngolle’s wife to set the house ablaze with others inside.

As the story goes, Talba Malla alongside some of his staff visited the home of their chairman, Ebong Ngolle in order to discuss pressing company issues.

While they were inside discussing, Mrs. Ebong NGOLLE emerged from nowhere with gas cans that she sprinkled throughout the house and the occupants before setting ablaze the VIP lounge and all those present inside.

The officials had to take on their heels for safety. It was thanks to the intervention of some workers that the officials in the house were rescued from this fire.

It was thanks to the timely intervention of the SONARA Gendarmerie and Firefighters units of the company to stop the fire.

The reasons why Mrs. Ebong Ngolle had to set the house ablaze with SONARA officials is still not known.

She was taken to the police custody where investigations are being carried out as to why she set the house ablaze.
