Romeo Dicka of Sycamu has paid the price, with a six months suspension, for his misbehavior towards the government.
As a reminder, the Prime Minister, Philemon Yang Yunji, released a note which was published by the private daily Mutations in its Thursday, May 21, 2015 edition. The note was addressed to his secretary general, Louis Paul Motaze, demanding the dissolution of the Permanent Commission for Mediation and Control (CPMC) and the suspension of Sycamu.
The suspension prohibits all activities of Sycamu in Cameroon. Below is the statement aired on CRTV on Wednesday, August 5, 2015.
"The Union of Cameroonian musicians abbreviated Sycamu, is from today suspended from all its activities throughout the national territory for a renewable period of six months for illegal practice of non-statutory activities. The competent administrative authorities are responsible for ensuring the strict implementation of this decision. "
