Robbery at the DGRE brings unease among staff

DGRE DGRE

According to information relayed by the Mutations newspaper in its issue of Monday, August 24, 2015, leaflets circulated by "collective of the staff of the Dgre " denounce "the increasing humiliation" which they are often subjected to.

The document which Mutations had a copy indicated, inter alia points to "false riot cases of Harissou and aggravated attempted escape of Polycarpe Abah Abah sponsored by Yaounde but signed by heads of posts for purposes of manipulation".

The collective also says no to "unfair promotions and show of patronage to the wealth protected by Dgre. They railed against profiteering (unpunished trafficking of notes, fuel, etc.), the settling of scores, the promotion of individuals without merit, Exhibitionism and imposture.

The journal indicated that it was unable to gather the opinions of the authorities of the Directorate-General of external research (Dgre), but that in the aftermath of the riot of last July, internal sources at the Dgre reported a battle among the collaborators of Léopold Maxime Eko Eko, who enjoy or lost lucrative benefits usually granted by the hierarchy.

On the burglary perpetrated in July at the headquarters of this strategic service which is assumed to be among the most guarded of the Republic, Mutations indicated that burglars broke in, 'without being noticed' in the office of the Dg, Léopold Maxime Eko Eko, disabled surveillance cameras, removed the curtains and threw them to the ground, before carrying away important computers and documents.
