Researchers from Adamawa celebrated

It was on the occasion of the third edition of the days of excellence which was held in Ngaoundéré.

For the third edition of the days of excellence, hundreds of researchers from various public and private institutions, in five departments in Adamawa took part in the event, held on the 14th and 15th October 2014 in Ngaoundéré.

It was an initiative of the regional Centre for research and innovation. Various products were unveiled during the exhibition at the esplanade of the regional Centre for research and innovation.

Traditional medicines approved and dealing with various kinds of diseases and a wide range of devices developed by researchers based in the Adamawa region were presented to the public.

Eighty researchers from public structures like the regional Centre for research and innovation, regional centre of the Wakwa IRAD, of the University of Ngaoundéré, researchers from the private structures, independent researchers, those of production companies and many other organizations received incentives.

According to Dr Aboubakar Dandjouma Almeck Kétaona, head of the regional Centre for research and innovation of the Adamawa, one of the challenges of these days of excellence was "sketching the outlines of a platform for permanent dialogue and partnership between the different links in the chain of research, including the local development actors and researchers and innovative in this area".

The foundations of the structure were actually raised on the occasion of this science fair which was under the theme: 'scientific research and innovation, contribution to the development of the region.

Include presentations and discussions that researchers must always work in synergy; sine qua non for the results of their work to contribute to the effective improvement of the living conditions of the people.

It is in that direction that Hamadou Mana, the inspector general of regional services representing the Governor of Adamawa in this meeting said that beyond the rewards and bonuses that have been assigned, there has been neither winners nor losers.
