Rampant floods cause loss of life, property

Several accidents leading to loss of lives have already been registered in the regions of the West, Littoral, North, Center, etc following torrential rains.

In Bafoussam, two girls were swept away by the waters after a violent storm last Tuesday at the neighborhood of Tyo.

The lifeless body of Ferbiane Kuete, 10 years and Princess Yemeli, pupils at the public school in Tyo were found in the river, behind the house and buried a few hours after in their village in the Bamboutos.

In the month of August, the district of Bibemi, department of Benouè in the northern region also recorded its first damage following the heavy rains.
