Protest by ex-employees of 48 state corporations suspended

The recent protest by ex-employees of 48 state corporations at the finance ministry has finally yielded some positive results.

According to sources close to the president of their group, Mr. Moukondo René David, they have been in negotiations since Wednesday, October 29, 2014 with Alamine Ousmane Mey. They have formally been requested to leave the frontage of the building housing MINFI services.

At the same time firm promises were made to protesters by Alamine Ousmane Mey himself, that their main grievance will be duly addressed, that is to say, payments of social security premiums suspended since January 2014 will resume.
