President Biya sends a special envoy to CAR

The President of Cameroon, through the Minister Delegate at the Presidency in charge of Defense Alain Mebe Ngo’o has pledged Cameroon’s continuous support to the Central African Republic.

This was during a 30 minute audience granted the Defence boss by the Central African Interim President, Catherine Samba –M’Panza,on Saturday 13 September 2014.

The audience took place on the sidelines of the ceremony marking the end of International Support Mission in the Central African Republic (MISCA).

During the audience, the representative of the President of the Republic of Cameroon,Edgard Alain Mebe Ngo’o reassured the CAR transitional President Catherine Samba-M’Panza of President Biya’s assistance in the normalisation process of her country.

President Biya through Alain Mebe Ngo’o, discussed Cameroon’s contribution in the restoration of peace through the designation of Cameroonian born General Tumenta Chomu as head of the African peace keeping force.

The General now heads the newly created United Nations Multidimentional Intergrated Stabilisation Mission (MINUSCA).

Alain Mebe Ngo’o expressed gratitude to the Transitional CAR President for inviting Cameroon to the ceremony marking the end of MISCA and the start of MUNISCA.
