Police comissioner in charge of national ID sacked

Retired Commissioner Ngongo Essomba on 31st December, 2014 was appointed the new boss of Senac. The Divisional Commissioner Jean-Luc Ebela is no longer the national coordinator of the Cameroonian nationality securing system (Senac).

He was sacked on the 31st of December by the delegate general for national security Martin Mbarga Nguélé. The patron of the Cameroonian police replaced the Commissioner removed by his Deputy, the retired Commissioner Ngongo Essomba.

Senac had indeed become a centre noted for a network of fabrication of false identity documents. A recent action was carried out by the police authorities to check and stop about 20 members of the police including the Commissioners involved in these dubious activities.
