Pierre Moukoko Mbonjo battling between life and death?

According to information from credible sources, the Minister of External Relations is in a very critical condition at the Yaounde General Hospital.

Reached by phone by Cameroon-Info.Net, a source close to the head of Cameroon's diplomacy confirms the information which was revealed Tuesday, May 12, 2015 by the newspaper La Nouvelle Expression saying: Moukoko Mbonjo has suffered a stroke (cerebrovascular accident of the brain).

From the entourage of the Minister of External Relations, they say he was attacked in Yaounde on the night of Thursday 07 through to Friday, May 8, 2015 while he was at his home.

The same sources say he was rushed in an unconscious state to the General Hospital where he is battling between life and death.

Aged 61, Pierre Moukoko Mbonjo has been heading the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for four years. He was conspicuously absent in Libreville, Gabon for the CEMAC meetings of 5 and 6 May 2015. His unavailability could slow the progress of activities in his ministry.

"He withdrew the services of all directors who had met their retirement age. And it was he who directly manages his budget lines and certain prerogatives. So his absence could block the operation of the house," entrusts La Nouvelle Expression, a part of Minrex.
