Over a dozen Boko Haram fighters killed in attacks near Fotokol

The Cameroonian military has killed over a dozen Boko Haram fighters this morning in Bodo near Fotokol, Far North.

According to Guibai Gatama, a source, the Cameroonian army repulsed an attack by members of Boko Haram and killed ten of them after an attack on the Rapid Response Battalion (Bir) camp in Bodo, a town not far from Fotokol in the Far North; the border shared with Nigeria.

The attack took place early this morning around 3am (2:00 GMT). According to our source, there are no deaths recorded from the Cameroonian side for now.

The Chadian army, whch has the mandate to fight in Nigerian territory, embarked on an attack on Boko Haram in Nigeria where they are based.
