'Number Updater' to assist subscribers with number switch

The numbering arrangement in Cameroon will go from eight to nine digits starting November 21, 2014 due to the increase in the number of mobile phone subscribers.

The Cameroonian engineers, Number Updater is set to assist in changing safely and as quickly as possible all contacts on the mobile networks, CAMTEL, MTN, NEXTTEL, and ORANGE.

A 100% Cameroonian Android application and a web platform for Internet cafes are available. The challenge is great thus all Cameroonians are to change their directories faster to enjoy services.

Aside that, the young company offers hundreds of temporary jobs for young Cameroonians who can work as partners and provide service to a larger number of mobile phone users.

A simple and practical solution which takes into account recent changes in the track numbering of CAMTEL of ‘2’should be added at the beginning of the old numbers.

For MTN, NEXTTEL and ORANGE networks, 6 must be added at the beginning of old numbers.
