The newly appointed Ministers by President Paul Biya immediately took up function after they were installed by the Prime Minister, head of Government, Philemon Yang.

While installing the new Ministers Monday, the Prime Minister Philemon Yang advised them to cultivate the habit of teamwork.

Scheduled to end around 5 p.m., the Prime Minister closed the ceremony for the resumption of functions of the new Ministers four hours earlier.

The brief, but well-attended ceremonies permitted the head of the Government to pass across his instructions to the new Ministers. From the star building where he started by installing his two collaborators; the Secretary general Séraphin Magloire Fouda and his Deputy, Pascal Nguihe Kante, to the Ministry of public works, where the last installation took place, to the installation of Emmanuel Nganou Djoumessi, the ritual was same. It included the signing of the documents by the incoming and outgoing heads of ministerial departments, then the brief remarks of the Prime Minister.

To the outgoing Ministers, Philemon Yang conveyed his appreciation for the work done before wishing them success with their new activities. After, the head of Government addressed the newly appointed.

“I congratulate you on the merit that you have to enjoy the confidence of the president of the Republic, H.E. Paul Biya,” he said, in essence, before giving his recommendations.

"In the execution of your duties, I ask you to demonstrate team spirit and sincere collaboration,” not without recommending that they are expected to have "dedication and unfailing loyalty" in the performance of their tasks.

The installation ceremony ended with the exchange of handshakes and the braces between the outgoing and the incoming Ministers, after which the Prime Minister left.

During the installations, Philemon Yang was accompanied by his closest collaborators, including the new Secretary-General, Pr Séraphin Magloire Fouda and his Deputy, Pascal Nguihe Kante.
