A new association called Action en Marche, Espoir de nos Enfants (AMEE) has been formed for Cameroonian children to provide education, welfare, health and hygiene of orphans or disabled children.

The new association which was born in Chatellerault last May mean Action on, hope of our children in English.

Its mission, says its president, Régine Labbé, is to "collect material for education, welfare, health and hygiene of orphaned or disabled children and sending them to institutions or orphanages in Cameroon."

Régine Labbé said she has already collected a lot of material and is still going to collect a lot more, including the Chatellerault hospital.

"We are going to gather clothes, shoes, games, books, beds, furniture, linens. All the donations can have a second life in Cameroon. For example, Chatellerault Hospital will give us lots of things they no longer need following the construction of the new geriatric center: hospital bed, walker, cane, meal tray, trolley."

The hospital management confirms it: "We will give this material reformed to the association but also to other associations."

President of Action en Marche, Espoir de nos Enfants (AMEE) announced that the first donations will be sent to Cameroon, this year, where a branch of the association exists.
