The Delegate General for National Security, Martin Mbarga Nguelle has commissioned the newly appointed Secretary General of the General Delegation of National Security, 50-year old Baya Dominique.

Commissioner Baya Dominique who was appointed by Presidential Decree on 22nd December 2015 and he officially took over service on 23rd December 23, 2015, during a brief but solemn ceremony at the Advanced Police Academy in Yaounde.

During the installation ritual, Delegate General described Baya Dominique as a seasoned professional whose experience is a great asset to the coordination of activities of the National Security, especially, in the present context.
Before his appointment, Baya Dominique was the National Chief of Bureau of International Police (Interpol) in Yaounde.

He also occupied several positions in the Police Force including Chief of Service for Research and Criminal Investigation Coordination at the Judicial Police Department. Before then he was third Assistant Commander of the Central Police Station in Yaounde. Earlier, he commanded the Douala International Airport Police Station.

The native of Sanaga Maritime Division of the Littoral Region was born on 6th January 1965 in Douala. He engaged in the Cameroon Police corps in 1990 after graduating from the National Advanced Police Academy as a Superintendent of Police. He was promoted to the rank of Police Commissioner in 2008.

The father of five is also holder of a Master’s Degree (DEA) in Private Law. Baya Dominique took over from retired Police Commissioner Ndocki Victor who was decorated with the medal of the Grand Officer of National Order of Valour for meritorious services rendered to the state during 35 years of service in the police corps.
