National Assembly: Mijital Zake to replace Bouba Simala

On Friday, the president of the National Assembly, Cavaye Yeguie Djibril appointed two persons in his administration: head of Maréchal des logis Maguilke Daniel and the gendarme (for four years) Mijital Zake.

The latter, according to our sources, is going to officiate in place of Captain Bouba Simala, who was fired June 16, 2015. PAN accused him "of acts of terrorism, incitement to robbery and abduction." He indicated then that "the Minister of defence, responsible for acts of terrorism, incitement to robbery and abduction, of which the former bodyguard was willing to commit towards the president of the National Assembly, will observe all provisions in accordance with the law in force".

After investigations, the military court corrected the offences leveled against the bodyguard of Cavaye, who is now being sued for "simple threats, contempt of constituent bodies and violation of instructions" which prompted the Minister delegate for defence and the Minister of State in charge of Justice to be "summoned" by PAN.

The two appointed on Friday are the nephews of PAN which, according to our informants, confirms the inclination to the nepotism of the president of the National Assembly. Already in an open letter on November 20, 2013, Hamadou Oumaté, former employee at the office of Cavaye denounced this drift.

Not less than 64 people, presented as wives, children, brothers, brothers-in-law, nephews, nieces of the president of the National Assembly are occupying various influential positions or annuity in the Cameroonian (mainly at the National Assembly) administrative sphere, were listed and had half-heartedly denied being relatives of Cavaye.
