The National Communication Council (NCC) has demanded the close-down of Afrique Media, which despite its temporary suspension in June, continued to run its programmes, on Thursday, August 6.
To make the decision of the media regulatory body in Cameroon more effective, the NCC has placed a seal on the Pan-African television channel.
"The vice president of the National Communication Council (NCC), informs the public that as from August 6, 2015, 1 pm, a seal has been put at the premises of the TV channel, ‘Afrique Media’, pursuant to Decision No 0015/2015 of June 4 2015 against the temporal suspension of the above-named television station," according to the statement signed by Peter Essoka, the vice president of the NCC.
