The objects discovered include cast iron, pipes, carved stones, spears and arrows, hoe and dabas, canaries and several objects of various value which explain the tradition and farming activities at the banks of the river Lom and many others.

According to Dr. Bienvenu Gouem Gouem, Deputy Chief of archaeological rescue program mission for the construction project of the hydraulic dam of Lom Pangar, all these objects are currently in the United States for a precise dating with Carbon 14 (Cd14 ), a method for determining the time elapsed since the use of the discoveries.

The scientist estimated that the items are nearly 15 centuries old. "The pipe that is used for smoking, indicates that cultivation and consumption of tobacco dates back to about 12 centuries before the arrival of Westerners. This culture existed here long before the period of the discovery of Africa. And therefore, it is important to think that the scientific and technological revolution is the work of our ancestors who had been sent to the West during this period of world history," said Dr. Bienvenu Gouem Gouem in Mutations of October 8, 2015.

The results of tests conducted in the United States based on Carbon-14 to determine the exact age of these objects will be available within three months. This is certainly going to contribute in scientific and technical discoveries in Cameroon and the world.
