Ministry of Public Works: New executives appointed

New administrators have been appointed by the Minister of Labour and Social Security (MINTSS), Grégoire Owona, on Monday in Yaoundé.

They are technical advisors, inspectors and heads of division of the central government. They were selected by the Prime Minister, Philemon Yang, on June 24.

"The government expects that you give your best in your administration responsibilities,” Grégoire Owona made it clear to the new managers.

Grégoire Owona urged the new executives to devote to their roles with diligence, honesty, respect of public affairs and a sense of responsibility.

"This appointment testifies government’s willingness to implement better administration, impartiality and effective work output. This should usher in a new era in our administration. Unfortunately, your duty is the public service," said the MINTSS.

Grégoire Owona also asked his employees to avoid all the bad practices that result in mediocrity, laziness and inactivity in the administration.

"You all have been confirmed. There are too many files back at the ministry which need to be worked on and finalized by the directors or the Secretary General,"concluded the MINTSS.
