Minhdu boss calls for speedy execution of projects in Douala

Minhdu boss, Jean-Claude Mbwentchou during a debriefing Friday in Douala urged contractors to accelerate the work at the various project sites.

"Do not expect 2019 to come first. There will be sectoral meetings to ensure that the projects are carried out as soon as possible". Jean-Claude Mbwentchou, Minister of housing and urban development, noted that time is counted from now to the Organization of the African Cup of Nations in 2019.

Minhdu raised several points during the debriefing at the urban community of Douala 21 November during his tour of specific sites in connection with Cameroon’s organization of AFCON 2019. Indeed, the Minhdu came to inquire about access to certain facilities. Inter alia, Douala obstetrics hospital, the stage of the Reunification, the general hospital, Laquintinie, the Salem hotel under construction. The visit was aimed generally to work so that Douala is ready in all compartments.

Jean-Claude Mbwentchou examined, in addition to access to the hospital and hotel, infrastructure, the supply of electricity and water, as well as on the State of the roads. "Before you create other streets, expand some, fill potholes because it is one of the causes of traffic congestion and it must be done as early as 2015.

He also praised the Cud Government delegate, Fritz Ntone Ntone, for the addressing the situation at the street, which allows a better orientation and mobility in the city.
