On October 3, 2015, on the programme «Regards sur la politique», aired on CBC Radio, a Protestant online broadcasting station in Paris, Michel Thierry Atangana said "after four years of investigation, the United Nations took a position. We can say that the UN saved my life."

With all the requirements of the UN, including his release, sanctions against those responsible for his imprisonment and indemnity, Michel Thierry Atangana had his freedom.
