Medals Day held at Unity Palace

Some distinguished Cameroonians have received medals at the Unity Palace during an occasion for the May 20, 2015 which had the parents and other relatives of the persons involved overjoyed.

Out of the 332 medals presented on Friday,June 22, 2015, 242 were classed into National Orders while 190 medals were for exemplary work.

For the Ordres nationaux award, 30 recipients received the l’Ordre national de la valeur medals. Three out of the 30 were promoted to the Grand Officer rank. They are Jean Marie Essomba Nkoulou, General Secretary of the Great Chancellery; Simon Pierre Bikele, Head of State Protocol and Salomon Eheth, in charge of the Civil Cabinet.

Also Oswald Baboke, the tehcnical adviser at the Cabinet Civil (Civil cabinet) was promoted to Commander of l’Ordre national de la Valeur.

The other categories for the 2015 ceremony were l’Ordre national du Mérite presented to 57 people, Mérite agricole receivers were four, Mérite sportif category had 16 people receiving the awards and the Force publique had 35 awardees.

The gold medals for d’honneur du travail were awarded to 55 people while 55 others received bronze medals and 80 were presented with silver medals.

The ceremony was graced by the Minister and Secretary General of the Presidency of the Republic, Ferdinand Ngoh Ngoh. He was in the company of Martin Belinga Eboutou, Director of the Civil Cabinet; Peter Agbor Tabi, Assistant Secretary General of the Presidency; Seraphin Magloire Fouda, Deputy Secretary General of the Presidency; Mengot Victor Arrey Nkongho, Minister of mission; Paul Atanga Nji, Minister project manager; Philippe Mbarga Mboa, Minister mission and Joseph LE, Deputy Director of the Civil Cabinet.

They each presented a medal to the recipients.
