Mayor Isaac Inongo Dalle laid to rest

The untimely demise and at his prime of the Mayor of Limbe III Council, Isaac Inongo Dalle has been described as a situation where the sun sets at noon instead of its normal setting time.

The description was done by the Reverend Ekum Manfred of the Presbyterian Church Mile Four last Saturday at the esplanade of the Senior Divisional Office for Fako.

Thousands of mourners had gathered for the final part of the funeral ceremony of the fallen young, dynamic and development oriented Mayor.

In his sermon, entitled, Sun at Noon, the venerated man of God who equally preached at the installation of the Late Mayor as Mayor of Limbe III last 16 October, 2013 held all spell bound.

According to the man of God, he wonders why a young man would die at his prime. He said during the installation of the Late Mayor, he was tasked with the development of his municipality which has in the past seen the emergence great men in Limbe.

Reverend Ekum Manfred said Mayor Dalle promised to do his best to bring the much heralded development following his working project, Victory for Development. “As we speak with his lifeless body lying in front of us, those dreams are now shattered.” He said.

Drawing inspiration from Isaiah 25:8-9 and 1 Corinthians 20-26 called on all present to serve God with all their hearts and to run to God as their only saviour.

Motanga Also speaking at the ceremonial ground, the Section President of the CPDM in Fako I and Government Delegate to the Limbe City Council, Andrew Motanga Monjimba said on September 7 during the funeral of Honourble Rachael Celestine Lyonga, he pleaded with the almighty God to spare him the trouble and pain to deliver funeral messages very often. He said barely 11 months later he stands to bury some one so close and so special.

Motanga said since that fateful July 3 afternoon our hearts have not stopped and that in Isaac Inongo Dalle, we have lost one of the brightest prospects in our municipal, political and community realms, an engaging and tenacious youth who gave his all to the community.

Motanga told the mourners that the party will not regret one moment investing in the young man to the point of becoming YCPDM Section President on Fako I and later Mayor of Limbe III adding that he worked for these positions and earned them democratically.

The Section President however wondered if society really wants the young to grow and that in his capacity as Government Delegate to the Limbe City Council, he acknowledges the dynamic of the young Mayor lying lifeless in front of the crown.

“A lot has been said and a lot is still being said in relation to the early exit of the young and tender soul; a lot of questions are hanging in the air but let us not forget that death itself is a big puzzle and the only one capable of unravelling that puzzle is God Almighty” said Motanga.

Death is often said is a bad river that often blocks the unripe fruits, Isaac Inongo Dalle’s demise is a perfect illustration of this adage” he said but stressing to the family that they will for ever be by their side in the absence of Dalle.

Meanwhile the 1st Deputy Mayor of Limbe III Charles Namme Manga, speaking on behalf of the staff and Councillors of Limbe III, began by quoting what a great mind once said “It is hard to eulogise any man, to capture in words not just the facts and the dates that make a life, but the essential truth of a person; their joys and sorrows,; the quiet moments and unique qualities that illuminates some ones souls”. He concluded that this is true for the late Mayor, brother and friend, Isaac Inongo Dalle

He said with the collaboration of the Deputy Mayors, Councillors, close collaborators and entire staff of the Council Dalle proposed strategies to boost the revenue generating power the council.

“Given to the sweep of life, the scope of his accomplishment, it is accurate to remember Isaac Inongo Dalle as a smiling and determined young man. History has been written, unfortunately in the words of sorrow and tears; yet we do not despair for the lord’s counsel has prevailed” Charles Namme Manga ended.

His biography was read by his elder sister from the Diaspora while Pa Wakai spoke on behalf of the Dalle Family.

“Today is a sad moment, sad moment because our colleague was very motivational and inspirational all our meetings” He said, adding that on 26 and 27 June, he was hopeful as they discussed the politics of decentralisation and development.

Mayor Ayuk said on July 3, their various offices were robbed by the sad and breaking news of the untimely death of Dalle.
