The Cameroonian musician Manu Dibango is affected by the series of armed attacks suffered by populations of northern Cameroon.

On his Facebook page, the international saxophonist expressed his dismay.
"I am devastated by the terror imposed on our compatriots of the Far North of Cameroon," he said before calling Cameroon and Maroua to resist the attackers:
"Maroua is hurt, but Maroua does not give up. Cameroonians never cedes to obscurantism and barbarism. United we Stand."

The city of Maroua in northern Cameroon was a scene of two terrorist attacks in a week killing more than thirty people and several injured. The abuses are attributed to the Islamist sect Boko Haram who sow terror in northern Nigeria, Mali and Niger.
