There have been talks on the close monitoring of the implementation of the public investment budget (PIB) 2015 to take stock at the decentralized level.
The discussions were between the Minister of Economy, Planning and Regional Planning (Minepat), Emmanuel Djoumessi Nganou, and ten regional delegates in his ministry on Monday in Yaoundé.
In his introductory remarks, Emmanuel Nganou noted that, "the aim of the exercise is not to see who made a mistake but to take stock and especially to make certain proposals to improve the procedures.”
Minepat acknowledged that some instruments are still not working as expected. He said an example was the communal committee monitoring the implementation of the BIP and that these deficiencies need to be corrected quickly.
