MINREX boss grants two audiences

The Minister of External Relations, Pierre Moukoko Mbonjo has received in two separate audiences, the Resident Representative of the African Union, Jean Gerard Mezui M’Ella and the UN Coordinator for Humanitarian Assistance in the Sahel, Toby Lanzer.

Both audiences took place on Thursday 10th September 2015 at the Ministry of External Relations.

During the first audience, the AU Resident Representative announced that the Cameroon Government is not responsible for the non-payment of benefits to soldiers of MINUSCA, the UN mission sent to ensure peace in the Central African Republic.

He clarified the striking soldiers and Cameroonians on the fact that it was the AU responsible for the payment of their dues and not the Government of Cameroon.

The second audience with the UN Coordinator for Humanitarian Assistance in the Sahel, Toby Lanzer focused on regional cooperation and fighting Boko Haram.
