MINCOM to assist both private and public media houses

The Minister of Communication, Issa Tchiroma Bakary, has signed a document, Decision No 126 / MINCOM / CAB, in order to assist both private and public media services.

The decision which was signed on Wednesday, December 23 involves more than 100 domestic enterprises and agencies.

In the media sector, 37 community radio stations will receive the support of the Cameroon government.

Among them are Radio Odama Stone Community radio, Radio Lekié, and Bonakanda Randio kul Melab.

The same decision means 10 commercial goes for other radio stations like Kalak FM, Magic FM dynamics, etc. As well as three television channels namely Ariane TV, Horizon Television, and Vision 4.

Regarding the 51 media groups chosen, were Tribune de l’Est, Le pas féminin, Le soir, L’indépendant and Tribune d’Afrique.

Issa Bakary Tchiroma will also provide assistance to three companies of audiovisual and cyber media.

17 private companies in the sector of professional organizations and six printing plants will also benefit from the help of the Cameroon government.
