Lydienne Eyoum replies Issa Tchiroma

In a 29-page document prepared by Lydienne Eyoum from her cell, she sent her reply to the Minister of Communication.

She responded to what Issa Tchiroma Bakary said during a press conference held following her sentencing to 25 years in prison. Cameroon Tribune relayed this information in two pages.

The lawyer, in turn called on the Government daily to publish her reply. "The spokesman of the Government, took shortcuts as if the public and adversarial trial never took place. He remade the trial and unfortunately, I'm still the one declared guilty.

He is the judge, Attorney general, counsel for the State and me the accused were condemned in advance. The public who attended the debate, and listened intensely would attest to this fact.

"This truth was clearly stated by the local press after the hearing. Throughout the trial each press according to its editorial line, endeavoured not to recount the facts discussed", said the lawyer from the start of her "right to reply".

“Mr spokesman takes the risk without great danger to commit the triple feat of violating both the principle of the separation of powers, that of non-interference in judicial affairs, and the criminal offences of defamation and tendentious comments that in a country of law should cause a judicial inquiry and why not a parliamentary inquiry, justice being questioned by both parties! ", she wrote.

For the first time since 2005, out of the courts and tribunals, Lydienne Eyoum spoke publicly on what sent her to prison. The lawyer accuses!, "I blame the spokesperson of the Government for taking advantage of his position to influence the opinion of the Honourable Members of the supreme court to seized my appeal in cassation. Since when has anyone seen a representative of the Executive Government spokesperson make this type of exercise in a rule of law even while the trial is ongoing?

Such an unprecedented exercise in a Republic does - not proof if this interference of the Executive over the judiciary is necessary?".

Considering what she called a persistent media, Issa Tchiroma's campaign to convince the public of the merits of his conviction, she revealed.

She spoke on each of the aspects he touched on during his meeting with the media, Among others; the procedure entry allocation carried out on the accounts of the SGBC to BEAC, on the fees paid by Akame Mfoumou, on the money transferred to the personal account of Lydienne Eyoum rather than in the client account on various court decisions which have already been made on this case and which resulted in the trial before the Tcs.

Lydienne Eyoum speaking pell-mell of Amadou Ali, Emmanuel Mbiam, Me Maloka is considered inter alia as the people who orchestrated the charges against her.

"Mr spokesman of the Government, I would want to tell you that, without reasonable doubt the obstruction to prevent the voice of Cameroonian citizens who may want to reach the President of Cameroon, it is noteworthy that desperate citizens, use the weak means at our disposal to draw attention to dangerous derivatives for justice and democracy of the State."

I would also want to say with conviction to all who speak and act in their own interest by bullying their compatriots on behalf of the head of State, that they should remember that at any time, the sanction of the master shall come upon them and that the Justice of the State of Cameroonian law or that of the world will ask for accountability so that Cameroonian citizens will be able to rise".

This "right to reply" was transmitted by Cameroon Tribune on 13 October.
