Lionesses accuse Fecabasket SG of dishonesty

The women’s national basketball players have accused the Fecabasket Secretary General, Camille Njoh Ekiti, of deceit after he claimed the team mates had received a sum of 4.3 million FCFA each.

Contacted on phone by Cameroon - Info .net, one of them indicated that what the SG of Fecabasket said was "false." Our source also disputed the claims of the SG who told Cameroon - Info .net that, the players knew long before the start of the competition that they would each receive a bonus of 2 million FCFA.

She also said that she and her teammates had not demanded the 15 million FCFA premium payments per player. "They should show us the documents we signed," defended the source.

The source further disclosed that the Mont Febe Hotel, where the players have decided to stay until their claims are taken into account, have started feeding the Cameroonian 2015Afrobasket heroines.

“We took breakfast this morning,” one of them said. The national women's basketball team players had been deprived of food since Monday on order, indicated sports authorities.

At the moment, negotiations are going on between dissatisfied players and envoys of the Ministry of Sports and Physical Education. The Secretary General of Fécabasket hoped strongly that “the situation will not worsen."
