The Minister of State, Minister of Justice and Keeper of the Seals, Laurent Esso is the oldest member of the reshuffled government of Friday, October 2.

According to the newspaper Kiosque of Wednesday, October 7, 2015, Laurent Esso was 73 years on August 10. His longevity in the higher sphere of the State made him a key man of the regime in power. His career in government included: Minister of State, Secretary General at the Presidency of the Republic in 2006, Minister of Public Health in 2000, Minister for the Presidency of the Republic in charge of Defence in 2001, Minister of Foreign Affairs in 2006.

He also has one of the longest running and delicate strategic position of Director of the Civil Cabinet of the President of the Republic after being his special adviser.

In his rich career, there is also an achievement at the University of Yaoundé, where he was chancellor.

In the forefront of the older members of the government is Vice Prime Minister, Minister for the Presidency of the Republic in charge of Relations with the Assemblies.

Amadou Ali, 72, who was born in 1943 in Kolofata in the region of the Far North heels Laurent Esso, just one year his senior. Le Jour indicates that he grew into high administration.

Elected Member of Parliament in March 1992 under the banner of the National Union for Democracy and Progress (Undp), he was appointed, 27 November 1992, Deputy Prime Minister for Urbanisation and Housing, a position that he held until 1997.
