Kolofata attack: Communication Minister makes a plea

Hours after the incident in Kolofata, the Minister of Communication, government’s spokes man, made an official statement to address the situation.

Issa Tchiroma Bakary was in the company of the General Manager of the Cameroon Radio, Television Amadou Vamoulke.

He unequivocally identified the insurgents as those from the terrorist sect, Boko Haram who are bringing “barbarism to our borders”.

The Minister emphasized on President Paul Biya’s resolved to uphold the country’s territorial integrity.

He call on each and everyone to help in tracking down members of the terrorist organization operating within Cameroon.

“I call on our population …to use all communication means at their disposal, be it phone calls, exchange of short messages services, emails, by word of mouth or direct denunciation……”

Most important was communication Minister’s promise to update the press on the situation in facts and figures as soon as any information has been confirmed.
