At the Independence Square of Ngaoundere yesterday, the Minister of Territorial Administration and Decentralisation (MINATD), René Emmanuel Sadi, presented the 12th Governor of Adamawa region with populations present to witness the occasion.

This was the conclusion of command ceremony between the outgoing and incoming governors of Adamawa. It spanned 90 minutes starting with the arrival of the outgoing governor saluting for the last time.

Abakar Ahamat by way of saying goodbye, shook the hands of the constituted bodies and his former employees. He then received a Standing ovation.

In addition to the MINATD, Abba Sadou, Minister for the Presidency of the Republic in charge of Procurement and many members of parliament and municipal magistrates were present.

On behalf of the people, the government delegate of Ngaoundere Urban Community thanked the Head of State for his "constant attention" to the region of Adamawa. Hamadou Dawa then welcomed the new governor and thanked the outgoing governor for his leadership for three years and seven months.

Presiding over the ceremony, René Emmanuel Sadi, on behalf of the head of state, first paid tribute to Ahamat Abakar, an actor of the "territorial command steeped in talent, quality, high active committed statesman, proactive, objective, strict and rigorous, mindful of the general interest which will certainly be "an example and reference for the younger generation"; says MINATD.

Native of Goulfey, Logone and Chari Department, Far-North region, the former governor, will have to enjoy his retirement. Initially in Yaounde and then later in Garoua, he will go into other activities.

Only two weeks ago, according to indiscretions, he received a proposal from the High Commission for Refugees (UNHCR) as a consultant on contract. He is also sought by a few large schools in the country to teach and share his experience of 31 years in the service of the "Republic and populations".

In the immediate term, the project close to his heart is that of the completion of the writing of his autobiography which will probably be published by Sopecam.

Obviously, the soft words were pronounced in the presence of Kildadi Taguieké Boukar. This director has been chosen by the head of state "for his expertise and experience," says MINATD to lead the reins of the region. A man in the person of the new governor knows his work environment.

Former sub-prefect of Banyo, Tibati, Ngaoundere II. he was also familiar with Ndop, Konye, ??Yaounde II, Bamenda, Ebolowa SG as governor of services. Until his appointment October 23, Kildadi Taguieké Boukar was prefect of the Mayo-Banyo, one of the five departments in the region of Adamawa. This is undoubtedly an asset that the new incumbent will have to capitalize.

A native of Koza in Mayo-Tsanaga, the Far North region, the 55 years old is a father of several children. He is a principal civil administrator who is "sophisticated and experienced", said MINATD. He will seek to maintain social peace and "safety of persons and property is a priority", recommended MINATD.

On this point, René Emmanuel Sadi, was clear saying Kildadi Taguiéké Boukar will resolutely continue the fight against insecurity that manifests itself in Adamawa by the phenomenon of kidnapping of people, livestock and urban and rural crime.
