The trial of Iya Mohammed, former President of the Cameroon Football Federation (FECAFOOT) and former General Manager of the Cameroon Cotton Company (Sodecoton) at the Special Criminal Court in Yaoundé has been scheduled for March the 5th 2015.

Iya Muhammed and his deputy at Sodecoton, Clavier Henri, Minlend Jerome CEO of Cameroon Cabinet audit council (CAC), Fotso Lucien, Pierre Kaptene, Mahamat Karagama and Christophe Mbaiougam all senior executives of that company are suspected of embezzlement of public funds estimated at 11 billion from 2005 to 2010.

Arrested on June 10, 2013, after the defeat of the Indomitable Lions by Togo during the qualification series for the 2014 World Cup, the Iya Mohammed case has already taken another twist with the disputed amount reduced to 6 billion, 94 million CFA.
