Iya Mohammed sick and admitted at the hospital

According to Camfoot, former president of the Cameroon Football Federation (FECAFOOT) Iya Mohammed is in a bad health condition and was on admission early this week at the Hospital of the National Fund of Social Insurance (CNPS) in Yaounde.

Authorities at the Kondengui central prison where he was incarcerated since 2013 for an alleged Sodecoton embezzlement granted him permission to seek treatment when he fell ill a few days ago.

According to an internal medical source in the hospital, Iya Mohammed was admitted at the general medicine ward, exclusively reserved for patients with 'VIP' status and can easily accessible any services of the hospital.

"He is very weak and looks very ill," said our interlocutor who also confirmed that the former president of the Cotton Development Company (Sodecoton) had a scan examination on Tuesday at the same hospital and "the results will be ready by Wednesday."
