Issa Hayatou expected in Zurich on Tuesday

The acting president of Fifa, the Cameroonian Issa Hayatou, is expected at the headquarters of the world body in Zurich on Tuesday, according to Fifa.

He was made interim of FIFA after the suspension of Joseph Blatter, on Thursday.
"President Hayatou is expected on Tuesday in Zurich after a few days in Paris", said a Fifa spokesman.

The president of the Confederation of African football (CAF), 69, left Cameroon on Friday for Paris where he will spend a few days before going to Fifa headquarters.

Mr. Hayatou has been designated interim president of Fifa, in his capacity as the oldest Vice-Chairman of the Executive Committee. This was after the 90 days suspension on a provisional basis of the president, Sepp Blatter, made by the Fifa Ethics Committee.
