The regional governor invited the various administrative and traditional leaders for crisis talks with a view of assessing the situation and taking additional security measures by the military, who are already hard at work on the ground. The results of the double bombing have evolved: it is now 30 dead and 141 wounded.

After the wave of sadness, Kerawa, which is trying to regain control, saw its bereaved security perimeter strengthened. Civil and military authorities in the region have held a crisis meeting in Mora. The combined report of the double attack, meanwhile, rose to 30 deaths and 141 injured.

On the conduct of attacks and identity of suicide bombers, a military source said an investigation is underway. Assuredly, we know that the two suicide bombers were women. The same source added that the two suicide bombers were probably from neighboring Nigeria but beyond Kerawa, it is the entire Extreme North Region which was again shaken by the events.
