Int'l Women’s Day: First preparatory meeting takes place

The first preparatory meeting towards the 2016th edition of the International Women’s Day has been scheduled for today 2nd February 2016 at the Regional Delegation of Women’s Empowerment and Family in Yaounde.

The meeting brings together some representatives of Diplomatic Mission and International organization, gender experts nationwide, State and private cooperation and the presidents of women representatives.

The meeting will be presided by the Minister of Women’s Empowerment and the Family, Marie Therese Abena Ondoa.

The 2016 edition of the international Women’s Day will be celebrated under the theme: “Gender Equality and Women’s Empowerment; Meeting the Challenges and Overcoming Obstacles.”
