Indian PM’s envoy delivers Paul Biya’s invitation

Prime Minister Philemon Yang received India’s Minister of Human Resource Development among three audiences granted on July 16, 2015 at the Star Building.

The President of the Republic of Cameroon, H.E. Paul Biya, will be one of the special guests at the upcoming summit of the Third India-Africa Forum scheduled to hold from 25 to 29 October 2015 in India’s capital, New Delhi.

India’s Minister of State, Minister of Human Resource Development, Ram Shankar Khateria, delivered a sealed envelope bearing the invitation during an audience granted him by Prime Minister, Head of Government, Philemon Yang, on July 16, 2015.

The special envoy from the Prime Minister of the Republic of India, H.E. Narendra Modi, told the press after the audience that President Biya’s special invitation was justified by the excellent bilateral relations between India and Cameroon.

Central African Republic Condemns Fotokol Suicide Attack

Later in the afternoon and in the second audience at the Star Building, Central African Republic’s Foreign Minister, Toussaint Kongo Doudou, delivered a message of compassion from his country’s Head of the Transitional Government, Catherine Samba-Panza, to President Paul Biya following the July 12, 2015 twin suicide bombings in the locality of Fotokol in the Far North Region.

Catherine Samba-Panza’s envoy who also led a four-man delegation briefed Prime Minister Philemon Yang on the political evolution and security situation in his country as well as the key challenges faced. The end of the transition is nigh with key elections planned as from mid-October which will usher the way for a new elected government by early 2016. “To cover all the costs of the elections, we hope for the support of friendly and brotherly countries such as Cameroon,” he said.

Youths’ Achievements To Be Celebrated Beyond Academic Spheres The visiting Secretary General of “The Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award Foundation”, John May Clive Cecil, has announced that the institution’s activities in Cameroon will extend to all ten regions with the Cameroonian government’s support.

Speaking after an audience with Prime Minister Philemon Yang on July 16, 2015, John May said the programme that was created for young people aged between 14 and 24 and exists in over 144 countries, is seeking to give young people the skills and aptitudes that they need to be successful in life.

Beyond classrooms, he said what they were looking forward to doing is ensuring that young people develop skills outside the classroom and find interests that will take them through to adulthood and then develop their leadership skills.
