Inauguration: Sassou Nguesso invites Biya

President Paul Biya has been invited to the swearing in ceremony of the President elect of Congo Brazzaville Denis Sassou Nguesso.

The inauguration ceremony holds on April 16, 2016.

To this effects, a special envoy of the Congolese President Jean Claude Gakosso is also Minister of Foreign Affairs and Co-operation, has handed President Biya’s invitation to Cameroon’s Prime Minister Philemon Yang who is to later on transmit to President Paul Biya.

Denis Sassou Nguesso won the Presidential elections with 65% of vote and will be sworn in based on the official document stipulating that the inauguration of a President takes place two weeks after the proclamation of results.

Other issues of common interest were also raised in the close to 30 minutes talks.

The envoy was accompanied to the star building by Congolese Ambassador to Cameroon.
