Members of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) have detained a citizen of Cameroon from Koraninogor area under sadar upazila in Comilla.
Nicle Simd Mike, 37, was detained for intruding into Bangladesh's territory around 8:30 am Monday.
BGB 10 Battalion Deputy Captain Mohammad Ataullah Jami said: “He has been detained for intruding into Bangladesh's territory. He did not have any passport or legal documents.”
He said: “A total of $500 and 24 Indian rupee were recovered from his possession.”
The BGB official said the detainee has been handed over to Comilla Kotwali model police station.
