IFTIC-SUP outdoors innovations of students

Institute of Training of Telecommunications, Technological Innovation, Trade and Management (IFTIC-SUP) held their open-day ceremony in Yaounde. The event organised on their campus featured an exhibition of their students innovations to ignite their interest in information technology (IT).

A student designed a device for charging phones, computers, radios using solar energy at the higher Institute of training of telecommunications, technological innovation, trade and management (IFTIC-SUP) in Yaoundé.

His works as well as those of his comrades were presented to the public, especially Upper sixth students from six schools and colleges in Yaoundé yesterday, lycée d’Emana, Mfou, Abang, Mballa II, Cité-verte et du collège Père Monti.

The event organised by officials of the Institute was attended by the prefect of the Mefou-and-Afamba, Mbemi Nyaknga, in the presence of several personalities.

Armand Claude Abanda, Chairman of the Board of Directors of IFTIC-SUP wanted to exhibit students talents through the event. Another of the objective is to stimulate learning of sciences and techniques of information among students to give them the keys and mastery of ICT opportunities.

The colourful event was crowned by awards given to excellent students and very innovative creations at the ceremony.

The IFTIC-SUP according to its PCA is an extension of the African Institute of Computer Science (IAI). It was created in 2006 to allow the students from IAI to go beyond the level Bac + 3. IFTIC-SUP trains students inter alia in telecommunications and networks, computing, in accounting and finance and human resources.

The institution operate in partnership with the University of Yaoundé I through the Ecole nationale supérieure polytechnique for those who are in the telecommunications and networking sectors and with the University of Douala through supérieure des sciences économiques et commerciales (ESSEC), for the other streams.
