ICT to contribute to the CMR's achievement of MDG

The contribution through ICT tool of communication in the achievement of millenium development goals was elaborated during a conference last Monday in Yaounde.

"To connect and resemble people". This was the topic chosen for the 2014 edition of the annual summit for social good, held from the 21st to 22nd September in New York, United States.

In Yaounde, Cameroon, the event brought together expert, bloggers and journalists around a conference chaired by Najat Rochdi, coordinator resident of the United Nations, last Monday.

Objective, to constitute a punt forms exchanges between actors of the sector of communication and information technologies. The role of technologies and the new media for the implementation of the Objectives of the millenium development goals constituted the cover point at the center of the debates.

About the contribution of ICT to the development of the countries, the participants were all unanimous "Internet is a great means of communication. It makes it possible for the Net surfers to learn, exchange info, make discoveries and to even find work ", declared Najat Rochdi.

In answer, Jean Jacques Massima-Landji, representative of Uit for central Africa and Madagascar exhorted all to make the race with technologies while privileging those adapted to their research.

It is the first time that Cameroon has covered an activity of the annual summit for social wellbeing. Najat Rochdi was impressed by this strong participation, interest of the public for the potentials of the ICT.
