IAI launches 2014 academic year

On Monday, there was a day of solemn re-opening of the African Institute of computer science (IAI) - Cameroon Centre of technological excellence. It was in a festive atmosphere that the event was held at Nkol Pa'anga campus' on the road to Mfou. The ceremony was chaired by the Secretary general of Minfi.

On this occasion, certificates of achievement were given to 176 pending graduation to be computer engineers. The laureates were of the 2011-2014 badge of production and engineering software system and network.

During this dual ceremony which attracted an impressive audience, such as, the Secretary General of the Ministry of finance, supervisor of the IAI, Urbain Nöel Ebang Mve, the above mentioned laureates were awarded their certificates.

Another innovation by the anglophone section emerged today in the software engineering industry in the institution. This is to allow the English-language students to fairly complete courses in their language of instruction.

The announcement was made by the representative of the IAI in Cameroon, Armand Claude Abanda advised students saying, "I urge new students to be serious with their work and demonstrate dedication and commitment in order to be good products who will contribute to the development of our country" .

The winners made an address focusing on their professional life. "It is with so much joy that I just got my diploma as an engineer in computer science. The IAI provides quality training to Cameroonians. As evidence, the company in which I did my academic internship seeks my services," said Jacques Dieunedor Pokem, laureate.
